Dear Members and Friends,

At 4-0 and ranked in the top five, the Oklahoma State Cowboys, led by head coach Mike Gundy, are one of the nation’s top football programs. This week the program had the vision and respect to honor soldiers of the 31st Air Defense Artillery Brigade out of Fort Sill, Oklahoma, bringing them for a visit to their University and with their team for the entire day. Terma’s BMD-Flex in successful test with the U.S. Missile Defence Agency

Terma’s BMD-Flex has participated in a successful “live fire” test by the U.S. Missile Defence Agency (MDA) from the U.S. Navy’s Space and Air Warfare Systems Center (SSC) collocated with headquarters of the U.S. third fleet in San Diego.

STSS Demonstration Satellites, Built by Northrop Grumman, Show New ‘Remote Cueing’ Capabilities During Aegis Test

The Space Tracking and Surveillance System (STSS) demonstration satellites, built and operated by Northrop Grumman Corporation, contributed to a successful sea-based missile defense test April 15 by acquiring, after being cued remotely, a target missile during the midcourse phase of its flight.

Sea-based Missile Defense Flight Test Results in Successful Intercept

SM-3 Block IA Missile Launch

The Missile Defense Agency (MDA), U.S. Navy sailors aboard the Aegis destroyer USS O’KANE (DDG 77), and Soldiers from the 94th Army Air and Missile Defense Command operating from the 613th Air and Space Operations Center at Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii, successfully conducted a flight test of the Aegis Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) element of the nation’s Ballistic Missile Defense System, resulting in the intercept of a separating ballistic missile target over the Pacific Ocean. This successful test demonstrated the capability of the first phase of the European Phased Adaptive Approach (EPAA) announced by the President in September, 2009.
