Boeing is the Pentagons second largest contractor after Lockheed Martin. It is the prime contractor of the Ground Based Midcourse (GMD) missile defense where it is responsible for the production of the Sea-Based X-Band Radar (SBX), the Ground Based Interceptors (GBIs) as well as the command and control components of the system. Among other things, it is developing the Airborne Laser (ABL) and jointly producing the Arrow missile defense with the Israel.
