2nd SWS Brings Home National Award

BUCKLEY AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. — A 2nd Space Warning Squadron first lieutenant won the award for the Missile Defender of the Year for 2010.

This award honors individuals with outstanding support, innovation, and engineering or scientific achievement associated with technologies designed to defend against ballistic missiles and whose efforts have helped make missile defense a reality. 1st Lt. Brian K. Yoakam has done just that.

Lieutenant Yoakam was very honored and thrilled to become the recipient of this award.
