North Korea recently stated that the peninsula could go to Nuclear War if the threats kept on as South Korea started live-fire military drills. Many South Koreans don’t regard North Korean threats because they feel that it is just simply rhetoric, however that is not the case this time.

Russia vows ‘to share responsibility’ over Europe missile shield

Russia has vowed to help share responsibility over the European based Missile Shield, according to Russia Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov. Russia President stated that if talks about a nuclear reduction failed then a new arms race would begin. Medvedev also stated that they were willing to cooperate in a Missile Shield which will begin in June 2011.

There are only days left in the lame-duck congress, and President Obama is trying to get the New START Treaty passed. If he were able to do this it would be the first time a Democrat has veer passed a Nuclear Arms Strategic Reduction Treay. Republicans do not want this to pass because they said that it isn’t important now, and other are saying it needs some changes. If these changes were attempted then it could kill the Treaty.
