The Obama Administration is putting the system on alert. Just in case North Korea launches toward Hawaii and it is actually going to hit something, the US systems are prepped to shoot a missile down.
THE Obama administration is reacting to the antici pated launch of another North Korean long-range ballistic missile, expected to fly over the Pacific toward Hawaii sometime soon, by putting missile defense on alert.
That’s a big change from last time.
Back in April, in advance of North Korea’s last missile test, the administration pretty much pooh-poohed the threat posed by the Taepo Dong launch, characterizing Pyongyang’s saber-rattling as bluster.
Even in North Korea’s launch is not aimed toward Hawaii, it could be the navigation system that fails this time, so who knows where it could end up. It’s good to be ready.
